I'm not sure what this music is considered, dubstep or house or what. Could someone tell me? Also tell me the difference between all of them too. Anyways this guy is from Napalm Death (if you can believe that) and his band is called Jesu but he remix a couple of their songs and released as Pale Sketcher. Or something like that. I kinda like the remix version more.
Nice video post!

I'm not sure what genre would fall under, but I like it!
ReplyDeletesounds like dubstep to me
ReplyDeletenice song btw
This is nothing like dubstep at ALL lol. Dubstep is defined by that "wob-wob-wob" bass and a strong kick once a measure. House is any danceable electronic song with a strong 4/4 kick. This is neither of those things.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds similar to a genre downtempo (some people write it down-tempo) and is personally one of my favorite kinds of songs.
If i had to classify it specifically, I'd say it was nu-gaze (the electronic child of the UK's mid-90s "shoegaze" movement.) If you like this, you'd also like these artists:
Jon Hopkins
Boards of Canada
Telefuzz
Ulrich Schnauss
Trentemøller
I'll be sure to follow you, and you're on my morning coffee list :)
I LIKE LIKE haha sounds good
ReplyDeleteSounds like dubstep or a little trancey to me. Nice to listen to nonetheless.

ReplyDeleteWhat ÆOURA said. I really liked this one, been trying to expand the type of electronic music I listen to beyond industrial/noise lately, so this fits the bill.
